Silent Invasion: The Reality of CCP’s Unrestricted Warfare and the Spiritual Watch of the Saints
Today, the wars we face are no longer confined to battlefields filled with the roar of cannons and the smell of gunpowder. Experts are increasingly warning of China's "Unrestricted Warfare" —a chilling and insidious strategy that transcends traditional boundaries, turning politics, economy, culture, and even individual thoughts and daily lives into a battlefield.
The core of the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) unrestricted warfare lies in "internal division within the target society" and "cognitive warfare." This method of blurring the truth and dismantling values through fake news and public opinion manipulation actually aligns with the ancient strategies of the dark forces warned of in the Bible. Why must we understand the reality of this warfare, and from what perspective should believers respond?
First, we must realize that "cognitive warfare," the core of unrestricted warfare, is the original form of spiritual attack used by the father of lies. The most terrifying aspect of unrestricted warfare is the manipulation of information so that people can no longer discern the truth.
This is the same method Satan used in the Garden of Eden to tempt Eve. Satan distorted the word of God and manipulated cognition, saying, "Did God really say, 'You must not eat from any tree in the garden'?" (Genesis 3:1). When the CCP’s unrestricted warfare brainwashes our minds through media and culture to weaken the foundations of a nation, it is, from a spiritual perspective, part of a spiritual war aimed at destroying the system of truth and enslaving people in darkness. We must see through the "spiritual power" lurking behind what is visible to the eye.
Second, we need the wisdom to interpret today's unrestricted warfare through the obstructionist tactics experienced by biblical figures. Around the 5th century BC, when Nehemiah, who was trusted by King Artaxerxes of Persia (Biblical Elam/Babylonian context), sought to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem, his enemies Sanballat and Tobiah used psychological warfare, alienation, and fake news instead of direct confrontation. They spread false rumors that Nehemiah intended to rebel against the king (public opinion warfare) and planted spies within to create fear (psychological warfare).
At that time, Nehemiah worked with one hand on his tools and the other holding a weapon to keep watch. We, too, must live our daily lives but never forget our mission as watchmen, wearing the full armor of God and discerning the times. This biblical history mirrors the CCP’s current tactics of collapsing other countries' political systems from within. In fact, Hong Kong’s democracy was completely dismantled through these very methods.
Third, we must pray and stay awake, trusting that God alone is the Sovereign of all history. We must clearly recognize that the CCP has an ambitious "Red" agenda to bring the entire world under its control. However, the Bible clearly declares that only God is the Ruler of all nations and history.
The same God who raised up King Cyrus to liberate the people of Judah is alive today, governing history even amidst the chaotic international situation. In the flood of information, we must seek discernment by establishing the absolute standard of God's Word so that we are not incited by fake news.
In conclusion, only the truth can set us free and protect us from this silent invasion. While the CCP’s unrestricted warfare seeks to enslave and control humanity, the truth of God sets us free. It has been revealed that the CCP currently operates overseas secret police stations in approximately 53 countries. They have also been found to interfere in elections and exert political influence in over 10 to 15 countries, along with engaging in espionage and industrial secret theft in dozens of nations.
South Korea is currently fully exposed to these provocations. Some media outlets, having received capital investment from China, are already manipulating public opinion to cause confusion within our liberal democracy. To avoid the tragedy of "waking up only to find ourselves subjugated," we must wake up from our spiritual slumber now. I sincerely hope that everyone reading this column will stand firm as soldiers of the Kingdom of God, possessing both the intellect to coldly read the trends of the times and the powerful spirituality to oppose the schemes of the enemy.
